You will create a DVD for your T454 Final Project. There is no set
subject material or time limit, but it must contain the following:
- Pre-production Packet (Contains Proposal & Script/Outline)
- Original graphics & design (You may not use a template)
- At least one layer menu
- At least one video track
- At least one motion menu with audio (with a lead in and smooth loop)
- One slide show with audio
- One alternate audio or video track
- 1-2 page critique describing your experience and specifying where
your layer menu, motion menu, slide show and alternate track elements
are located.
Suggestions for DVD projects include: demo/portfolio project highlighting
clips from production classes, vacation memory DVD, instructional project,
biographical piece, client project for another instructor.
You will be graded on the design and usability of the interface and
the overall technical and aesthetic skills.
The final project is worth a total of 65 points broken down as follows:
- Proposal/script/storyboard
packet - 15 points
- DVD - 45 points
- Critique - 5 points
